CETS Event Services
CETS Event Services is the division of CETS that provides voice amplification for any Hilltop Space, and video/computer projection and video-recording/conferencing for any space that lacks that capacity through installed equipment.
- There is only one classroom that has a single wireless lavalier micorophone for voice ampliciation (Reiss 103). There is only one microphone in that classroom, and no ability for voice amplifiction in any other hilltop classroom.
- So if you want voice amplification in any other hilltop classroom, you will need to request CETS Event Services, which is a fee-for-service operation.
Event Services supports events in venues containing *some* installed technology, as well as venues with no installed technology.
CETS Event Services is a staffed service, meaning we normally deploy one or more technicians to support each event, throughout the duration of the event.
- In a complex technology arrangement, particulary one with video cameras for Zoom or recording, or one using multiple wireless microphones, technician monitoring and control of systems improves tech performance, and removes impediments to a successul event.
Event Services uses a Google Form/Sheet to collect all information (including GMS Work Tags) needed to well support the technology requirements of each event. For non-request inquiries, our email is cetsauxiliary@georgetown.edu
- Please request service as far in advance as possible, but at least one week before the date of your event.
- We are sorry, but we cannot accept any Event Service request through email, text, EMS request, FreshService Ticket, or smoke signal.
- There remains no cost to semester classes which the University Registrar schedules in the ICC Auditorium during the Fall and Spring Terms. All others must pay for CETS Event Services.
